רקע על השיר

Build God, Then We'll Talk הוא הסינגל הרשמי החמישי והאחרון מתוך האלבום "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" - אלבום הבכורה של הלהקה Panic at the Disco, שיצא בשנת 2005. הוא השיר האחרון באלבום, והוא נכתב על ידי חברי הלהקה והופק על ידי מאט סקוויר (Matt Squire).
הלחן בBridge נגזר מהשיר "My Favorite Things" מתוך הסרט צלילי המוזיקה, וכך גם המילים באותו הקטע. בגלל שתוכן הקליפ היה מעט פרובוקטיבי, חברי הלהקה החליטו לפרסם אותו אך ורק באינטרנט, אך כמה רשתות טלוויזיה הציגו אותו בכל זאת.

חוות דעת אישית

את השיר הזה פספסתי במשך המון זמן. וכשאני אומר פספסתי אני גם מתכוון לזה שלא יצא לי לשמוע אותו כי הוא נעלם מהעין וגם לזה שפספסתי שיר נפלא.
במשך הרבה זמן לא שמעתי אותו למרות ששמעתי את האלבום בו הוא נמצא כי טוב, הוא השיר האחרון. הייתי שומע את האלבום אבל לא מספיק להגיע עד אליו. אני לא זוכר מתי בדיוק שמעתי את השיר הזה בפעם הראשונה, אבל אני יכול להגיד שאהבתי אותו מיד. את המילים לא יצא לי לקרוא, אבל ממה שאני יודע הן לא מספרות סיפור נחמד במיוחד...
החלק שהכי משך את תשומת ליבי, והיה גם החלק שהכי אהבתי הוא הסוף - הרפרנס לשיר "My Favorite Things". בתור מישהו שמאוד אוהב את צלילי המוזיקה, הקטע הזה הקסים אותי. אני חושב שהוא נפלא, במיוחד הקטע של הצ'לו שיש בו.
זה שיר מקסים שאני מאוד אוהב, למרות הקליפ שקצת גרם לי להרגיש... לא בנוח.
