With in the website you can find a system of updates and daily updated news, a rich Harry Potter encyclopedia, a fanfiction system with over 1000 storys and a magical tour of the wizarting world. the website is being simulating the Hogwarts school of wichcraft and wizartry shool year, so while you take part in all of our services and activaties, you can also study along with Harry Potter and Hermiony Granger, earn house points, and who knows? mabe you'll win the HPortal house cup.
Our website was formed for one purpose, to promote the Israeli Harry Potter fan community. And did we secceded at that important goul? we're sure you can answer that question after reading the next page. From the seventh book translation, by the thousants of sighned users, and untill today, HPortal - the Israeli Harry Potter website.

The History of Magic _{How did it all started?}
If you to have fallen into the vortex who caught many muggles, squibs, witches and wizards, if you too had been caught in the charms of the books and read every book of the series, as if it was the story of your life, you must know that the number 7 is the most magical nomber in all the world beyond platform 9 and 3/4.
Well, the 7'th book in the Harry Potter series, the book that is called "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", is the end of the book series, and was what caused the opening of HPortal - the Israeli Harry Potter website.
The first plan was incredibly simple - a small website, with a small forum comunity, that provides a free fan translation for the 7'th and last Harry Potter book. A few days after Harry Potter and the deathly hallows has reached the stores, HPortal was formed, and started in full speed working on a translation.
while full chapters of the book were publlished every chosen time, HPortal's success grew, and the projact succeeded in particularly. As expected from such a large group of fans, from the first days of the website it broke the signing records - over 500 signed users on the first day, and in a week - over 2000, a scale that kept growing bigger and bigger as the rumor about the free translation was spread.
slowly the first plan of HPortal was changed. An updates system of Harry Potter was added, and the administration team started working on buildding a new Israeli fan website, HPortal- the Israeli Harry Potter website.

Projects and a Spacial _{Promoting the Israeli Harry Potter community}
As a part of it's normal activaties, HPortal is running content systems, projects, and special activities for the Israelien fans. In our website you can find a rich fanfiction system, that includes almost a 1000 stories, a virtual tour of the wizarting world, and a content encyclopedia, the largest in Israel. All of this is combined with a magical school year that simulate a life at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizartry.
And in addition to that, HPortal can take the credit for real projects, that donated a lot to the Israeli fan community:

The 7'th book translation project: The hysteria around the publishing of the 7'th Harry Potter book was inexplicable. Even though all previous 6 books were translated quickly by Gily Bar-Halel Semo, the young fans weren't patient. The 7'th book of the series was translated by the website users who were interested in helping, and high level English talkers.
As written above, the 7'th book translation dragged along fans, like a wedding dress drages a trail. And did the success of the project was done with the thousants of signd users? it seemed that not only the greatest fans were interested in the free translation. Quickly HPortal translation project became a hit while starring the most popular media of Israel- the morning show of keshet, ha-arets, ahbar haeer,walla! coultre, and The Marker. When the 7'th book came out, the free fan translation was immidiatly removed from the internet, because HPortal is a law keeping website.

The 6'th film pramire: As the 6'th movie was about to come out, HPortal began a project with the biggest Israeli movie theater company.
tens of happy users had the luck to watch the 6'th movie a whole week before showing at the Israeli movie theaters, all that in a huge magical launching event, that included food stands, magic shows, gifts from the 6'th movie line, meeting celebraties and exposure by the Israeli exposure.
the "Harry Potter and the half blood prince" launching event took place at the Natania Globus Group theaters, in which the users came dressed up as the diffrent series characters, as the representatives of the
younge Israeli fans.

Outside Cooperations _{outside of the web}
As the time passed, HPortal has shaped itself the the biggest and best Israeli Harry Potter fansite. While activating and donating in the Harry Potter field, HPortal has cooperated with some of the most important Israeli Harry Potter figuers:

• Globus Group: the big movie theater companny granted us with dozends of tickets to the prmire of the box office busting movie. Dozends of users won the opertunity to watch Harry Potter and the half-blood prince a week before it was out in a large launching event.
  
• "Hatav Ha'Shmini" (The 8th Note): the certified marketer of the DVD and Blu-Ray products of the Harry Potter series in Israel signed a cooperation campaign with HPortal, during which a promotion campaign was held on the website, close to the official release of the 7th Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – part 1", on CD version. Additionally, HPortal was the first to announce full details about the CDs in Israel. "Hatav Ha'Shmini" gave our website products of the film series, which are devoted to promote the Potter fans community in Israel.
• Ms Gilli Bar-Hallel Semo (translated the books to hebrew): the donation of the Israeli translator to HPortal is in the exclusive interview she gave our website on Merch 2009. More of the coopration was expressed when HPortal gave ms Bar-Hallel Semo a special invitation to the 6'th movie premire, the large launching event. A video interview is planned soon and will be published soon on HPortal.
  
• Ms Adi Kozlovsky (dubed Bellatrix Lestrange): on the Harry Potter movies, she dubed the cherecter of  Bellatrix Lestrange, she's one of Israel's most talented dubbers and an amazing woman - Adi Kozlovsky. On October 2009, HPortal had a video interview with non other than Adi Kozlovsky, a video interview that was filmd on Tell Aviv Elrom studios. The video interview was published on a festive Harry Potter eddition of HPmagazine.
• "Olamot" Sci-fi & Fantasy Convention: first time for HPortal to take part in this annual convention was in the "Olamot 2011" convention, organizing an event for the convention. The event included making home-made Potter-T-shirts and was held by Batya Uziel, the big "priest" of home-made art in Israel. This event was one of the two biggest events in this convention and achieved great success.
• Walla! spacial: the "Harry Potter and the half-blood prince" special on the coulture and news Israeli websitw led to a coopration between Walla! and HPortal. Walla! special's administration gave HPortal 10 special items of Harry Potter and the half-blood prince line.

Media Exposure _{marketing and public relations}
Because of being the largest most seccessfull Harry Potter website in Israel, Hportal has been exposed on the central Israeli media. The media exposure presented to you next are a small part of a lot articles, interviews, and recorded shows that were in the past. we couldn't reach manny links videos and pictures.

Keshet's morning show (channel 22- the lead morning show): with the 7'th book translation project, two of the site's owners were hosted at Keshet's morning show, channel 22 along with the show crew and some experts tried to understand if the pireted translation work that was uploded onto the internet is legal, or a bolt violation of the law. Today on the news (the 1'st channel): as "the tales of beedle the bard" was about to come out, one of  HPortal's owners was invited to an interview at the pre-news show.
From the bottom line (the 1'st channel): when another box office busting movie was near, HPortal's incharge of public relations ,Dan Levi, was interviewed to the first channel television and cinema show. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: the 7'th book translation project was unprecedentedly seccessfull. Along with every chapter translated, the project seemd to feed the younge fans, exsite the older fans aswell, the publishers and even the media. After two of the site's owners were interviewed on Keshet's morning show, the media interst in the "7'th bok translation project" had no limits.

While working in order to improve the surfing expiriance and giving advanced services to Harrt Potter fans, HPortal has located itself and his users as the top daily praiority, a fact that stends out in the Harry potter related activaties - from the 7'th book translation project to the 6'th movie premire, since the sites first steps, you could see the spacial bond betaeen the users and the managment teem - so that while translating the 7'th book, the administors and the users worked together to translate, and we can still see there hard work fruits, a few years after the project ended . The seccessfull cooperation between the menagment teem and users is still bering fruits, when our website is working on clear work fields, on which the users and asministors work together.
