מידע על השיר
השיר יצא ביחד עם הפצת האלבום ב6 לאוגוסט 2018, כשיר השלישי ברשימת השירים שבאלבום. השיר נכתב על ידי 3racha (הראפרים של stray kids), והולחן על ידיהם גם.
לרוב בקיי-פופ, האלבום יוצא לפני שהוציאו לכול אחד מהשירים קליפ, אם בכלל. הקליפ לשיר Voices יצא בלי הודעה מוקדמת, והפתיע את המעריצים ברחבי העולם. גירסת Dancr practice, שבו רואים את חברי הלהקה רוקדים את הכריאוגרפיה גם כן לא איחרה לבוא. הקליפ המקורי זכה ללא פחות מ21 מיליון צפיות.

חוות דעת אישית
אוקיי, אוקיי. סטריי קידס יצגו ותמיד ייצגו בעיניי את הדור החדש של הקייפופ. השירים שלהם מדברים על יותר מאשר על אהבת נעורים, והם משקיעים 100% בתוך כל השירים שלהם. למרות שהכרתי את סטריי קידס קצת אחרי יציאת I am WHO, לא הכרתי את Voices, אלא את השירים המוכרים יותר של האלבום. (שכוללים שירים נהדרים, כן? אבל לא נדבר עליהם עכשיו.)
את השיר עצמו יצא לי לשמוע לראשונה רק לפני כמה חודשים, וישר התמכרתי. השיר מדבר על אנשים שהדיבורים שלהם חוסמים את המחשבות שלך ומעיקים עליך. המוזיקה נהדרת ומעצימה את המילים ומשמעות השיר. דבר זה למעשה, לא תמיד קורה בקייפופ, אז תמיד כיף לשמוע שיר מושלם מהבחינה הזאת.
הכריאוגרפיה והקליפ... פחות. הקליפ אומנם מעוצב מקסים. רואים בו בעיקר את הריקוד ומידי פעם את מי ששר באותו הרגע. האהבתי שציבעי הצילום דהויים וזה הזכיר לי ערפל, כך שהצבעים נראו מתאימים לאווירה. (אפילו צבעי השיער שלהם נראו מתאימים.) לריקוד לעומת זאת פחות התחברתי. לצערי המפיקים של שירי הקייפופ חושבים לרוב שכל שיר באלבום שהוא לא השיר המרכזי, ניתן לחפף בו, מה שמסביר את חוסר היצירתיות בקליפ ובכראוגרפיה הזאת.
אני אסיים בלהגיד שהשיר נהדר ומומלץ מאוד.
